Hydrographic Institute Hosts Visit from Oeiras City Councilor

This week, the Hydrographic Institute (HI) welcomed Dr. Pedro Manuel Freire Patacho, City Councilor for Education, Science, and Innovation at the Oeiras City Council (CMO), accompanied by Dr. Ana Moniz, member of the same office, and Dr. Elisabete Brigadeiro, Head of the Science and Innovation Office Division.

The visit aimed to showcase the Institute’s facilities and its diverse areas of activity. During the tour, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the Divisions of Navigation, Oceanography, and Hydrography, the Technical-Scientific Data Center, the Chemistry and Marine Geology laboratories, as well as the Geospatial, Meteorological, and Maritime Oceanographic Center (CGEOMETOC).

The program also included visits to the School of Hydrography and Oceanography, the library, the Scientific Council meeting room, and the facilities of the NATO Center of Excellence (MGEOMETOC).
