HydHydrographic Institute receives delegation from SHOM

On September 9, the Hydrographic Institute (HI) welcomed a delegation from the French Navy’s Service Hydrographique et Océanographique de la Marine (SHOM), led by Director-General Rear Admiral Laurent Kerléguer and Chief of the Public Relations Division, Lieutenant Commander Gabin Sogorb.

The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in hydrography and oceanography.

During the visit, the delegation toured the NATO Centre of Excellence (MGEOMETOC), the Geospatial, Meteorological and Oceanographic Maritime Centre (CGEOMETOC), the School of Hydrography and Oceanography, and the Technical Directorate divisions, providing an overview of the diverse capabilities and expertise of the Hydrographic Institute.
