Hydrographic Institute hosts the 2nd Conservation and Restoration Workshop
On March 21, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) hosted the 2nd Conservation and Restoration Workshop, led by master's students from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL).
This event was once again held under the Cultural Cooperation Protocol established between the Faculty and IH. The work carried out focused on the assessment and diagnosis of movable and immovable assets, with training in observation, surveying, and identification of issues, particularly regarding the conservation status of tile panels and stone materials inside the former Convent of Trinas building.
A mobile studio was also set up in the Hydrographic Institute's Library, where students conducted photogrammetric recordings of various assets and equipment from the IH’s technical-scientific collections for 3D restitution and modeling.
The workshop was supervised by professors Ana Bailão and Frederico Henriques.
