Hydrographic Institute published two new Cape Verdean nautical letters

In November, the Hydrographic Institute published two new nautical letters from Cape Verde, CN 66401 (INT 1964) and CN 66402 (INT 1965).

The CN 66401 (INT 1964) comprises the plans of Porto da Praia (at 1/7 500 scale) and Approximation to this port (at 1/40 000 scale) and 66402 (INT 1965) the plans of Porto Grande (at 1/10 000 scale) and Approximation to this port and port of Porto Novo (at 1/40 000 scale).

These letters correspond to New Letters from the International Series and follow up the international commitments made in the context of cartographic production between the IH, the Republic of Cape Verde and OHI, and the latest top-hydrographic information available at the Hydrographic Institute was used in its compilation, including the top-hydrographic surveys of Order 1a, 1b and 2 carried out by the Hydrographic Brigade and the NRP Hydrographic Ship “Alm. Gago Coutinho” (Open Sea Initiative), as well as the information provided by the Cape Verde Maritime and Port Agency (AMP) and the National Institute for the Management of the Cape Verde Territory (INGT).
