Hydrographic Institute participates in the MICRO2024 conference
The Portuguese Navy participated in the conference MICRO2024 - Plastic Pollution from MACRO to nano that took place from 23 to 27 September in Lanzarote, Spain.
The aim of the MICRO 2024 conference is to celebrate the growing community of scientists and policy makers concerned with the challenge of plastic pollution, from macro to nano, with a main focus on microplastics.
The Hydrographic Institute, through the Division of Chemistry and Pollution of the Marine Environment, participated in the conference with a presentation in the form of a panel entitled: Development of analysis methods - sample preparation and analysis, for the measurement of SMPs > 10 μm in environment samples (SPM). This work is being developed under the PLASTICTRACE project, and the presentation was performed by TS Carla Palma.
