Hydrographic Institute and IIC Academy Promote Hydrography Course with E-Learning Modules

The Hydrographic Surveying course, offered by the IIC Academy – Global Centre for Geospatial Science, is currently the only modular e-learning course in the world recognized by the International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers, with Category B certification.

The course consists of audiovisual lectures, videos, and content tailored for distance learning, culminating in a final practical component. The first European edition of the course, delivered in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, will begin in August 2025, with the practical component taking place at the Hydrographic Institute's facilities, at the Azinheira Hydrographic Base in Seixal.
