Hydrographic Institute celebrates its 65th Anniversary

On October 22nd, the commemorative ceremony marking the 65th Anniversary of the Portuguese Navy’s Hydrographic Institute took place.

The celebrations began with a presentation to the unit, delivered by the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral João Paulo Ramalho Marreiros, who reflected on the Institute’s evolution and highlighted the work carried out over the years, expressing his appreciation to all who contribute daily to the excellence and success of the Institution.

This was followed by a decoration ceremony and the presentation of commemorative gifts to civilian employees who have completed 35, 25 and 15 years of service at the Hydrographic Institute.

The commemorations concluded with a convivial lunch, bringing together military, militarised personnel and civilians of the IH, in a moment of camaraderie, sharing and unity.
