Hydrographic Institute celebrates the 57th anniversary

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) celebrated its 57th anniversary on 22 September 2017. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of this institute, where it was attended by distinguished guests, military, militarized and civilians serving at this institute.

To mark this date, the Hydrographic Institute was attended by Dr. Mário Ferreira, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Douro Azul, to give a lecture on the theme of hydrography and navigation security for economic development on waterways. Commander Santos Teles, Head of the IH Navigation Division, presented the work carried out by the IH on the Douro waterway.

Unit Day ended with the delivery of souvenirs to the employees who completed 15, 25, 35, 45 and 50 years at the service of this institute and a meeting lunch, which contributed to the strengthening of cohesion among all those who develop their activity in this body of the Navy and State Laboratory.
