Hydrographic Institute holds decoration ceremony, certification and surrender

This Monday, November 25, at the Hydrographic Institute (IH), a ceremony that includes the award, the delivery of diplomas and certificates, was also celebrated the taking over of a new head of division.

On this occasion, Sergeant Helper Taifa Luís António Carona Fernandes was awarded the 4th Class Naval Cross Medal, in recognition of its services.

During the same ceremony, the delivery of diplomas and certificates to the military who completed the Technical Course in Hydrography (category B) concerning the edition of 2022-2023 at the School of Hydrography and Oceanography of the IH was held.

On the same occasion, the new Head of the Infrastructure and Transport Division, Lieutenant Captain Pedro Teixeira Lourenço, took office in place of Captain Eugénio Gameiro Mateus.

The ceremony ended with the usual Port of Honor to toast the good news.
