State of inoperative buoys - Information

We have received several requests for information on the state of Leixões buoys (costeira), Nazaré (costeira) and Faro (oceanic). We know that this information is very useful for the planning of various activities.

As you could see in the video about the Wilderness buoy, buoys need regular maintenance, and it is necessary to combine the opportunity for maintenance with the availability of ships to lift them and re-tie them on site.

At this point, we are predicting the replacement of the coastal buoy of Leixões during the first week of August. The multiparametric buoys of Nazaré (costeira) and Faro (oceanic) are still in maintenance in the facilities of the Maritime Instrumentation Center of the Hydrographic Institute. The replacement of these buoys is planned for September, depending on the availability of a hydrographic ship.
