Posse Take of the Infrastructure and Transport Division and Maritime Instrumentation Centre - 2020

Rear Admiral Carlos Ventura Soares, Director General of the Hydrographic Institute, gave possession to Captain Eugénio Carlos Gameiro Mateus as Head of the Infrastructure and Transport Division. Commander Gameiro Mateus also accumulates the responsibilities of head of the Maritime Instrumentation Center. This centre ensures the calibration, maintenance and development of technical and scientific equipment and instruments for marine environment observation and research in the Sea Sciences and provides technical support in the training and operation of systems.

The inauguration took place on 23 November 2020 at a public ceremony at the Hydrographic Institute.
