IH represented at the annual meeting of Data Buy Cooperation Panel

The Hydrographic Institute (HI) was represented at the annual meeting of the Data Buy Cooperation Panel (DBCP) which took place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 23 to 26 October.

DBCP is a joint official body of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), which aims to strengthen cooperation, coordination and exchange of information between operators and users of meteo-oceanographic buoys.

The participation of the IH in this meeting allowed the dissemination of the national buoy network, as well as improving the exchange of technical information on acquisition, data quality control and new technologies.
