IH welcomes participants in the Secretariat meeting of the European Coast Guard Functions Forum

The Hydrographic Institute received, on December 12, 2017, a group of participants for the Secretariat meeting of the European Coast Guard Functions Forum (ECGFF) - whose presidency is currently held by the German Federal Police, since September 29, 2017, which succeeded the bipartite Portuguese Presidency between the Navy and National Maritime Authority.

This meeting was attended by elements of the national agencies, entities and bodies of the Member States of the European Union and the Schengen area with Coast Guard functions, and also by the European Union agencies related to the performance of these tasks, including FRONTEX (European Border and Coast Guard Agency), EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency) and EFCA (European Fisheries Control Agency).
