IH receives the visit of students of the 10th year of Fundão

On May 3, the Hydrographic Institute (HI) received the visit of 45 students of the 10th year of Fundão.

This visit was promoted in the field of Geography and therefore the IH prepared a program that included the presentation of the IH in its different areas of activity, two lectures, one on the knowledge of the sea and the use of resources, presented by the TS Dora Carinhas of the Oceanography Division, and another dedicated to the production of nautical cartography, presented by the TS Ana Moura of the Hydrography Division.

Then José Aguiar took visitors to the exhibition “Map the Portuguese Sea – Cartography of Discoveries to Currentity” and to the library, once the kitchen of the old Convent of the Trinas of Mocambo.
