IH receives visit from Angola’s defense attaché
In the framework of the technical-military cooperation between Portugal and Angola, the Angolan Defense Attaché, Lieutenant General Luis Gabriel Patricio Teixeira, visited the Hydrographic Institute on June 24, where he was received by the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral António Silva Ribeiro and the Head of the External Relations Division of the Armada's Staff, Captain-de-mar-e-war Neighbor Mirones.
After attending the institutional film and a presentation on the activity and services provided by the Hydrographic Institute in national and international territory, the Angolan Defense Attaché also passed the School of Hydrography and Oceanography, which is the only school in the country that provides courses with international validity in the areas of hydrography and oceanography.
This visit allowed the exchange of information on the increase in bilateral relations between the two countries, contributing to the development of cooperation in the areas of sea science.
