IH receives delegation visit from DGAIED
On 10 July, a delegation from the Directorate-General for Armament and Defence Infrastructure (DGAIED), led by its Deputy Director, Major-General Francisco Grave Pereira and accompanied by Captain-in-fragnate Mesquita Onofre, from the Armada Staff Planning Division visited the Hydrographic Institute (IH), where it was received by the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral António da Silva Ribeiro.
After attending the institutional film on the activity of the Hydrographic Institute, the delegation of DGAIED visited the divisions of the Technical Directorate - Hydrography, Navigation, Oceanography, Technical and Scientific Data Center, Marine Geology and Chemistry and Pollution of the Marine Environment, later passing the NRP Museological Pole Almeida Carvalho, the School of Hydrography and Oceanography.
This visit allowed the delegation of DGAIED to deepen the knowledge about the mission and objectives of the Hydrographic Institute, as well as to know the facilities and potential of the IH as an organ belonging to the Portuguese Navy.
