IH Publica New Charter of the Cape Verde Archipelago

The 1st edition of the Marine Charter (CN) of the International Series 62102 (INT 1960) was published. With the publication of this letter, the IH has responded to the needs of updating the nautical cartography of Cape Verde, supported by close collaboration with the Maritime and Port Institute, allowing to bind the responsibilities of the IH in the region, both in the production of cartography of the INTernational Series and as Primary Charting Authority.

In the compilation of this letter we used data acquired in the missions of the Navy's Hydrographic Brigade and hydrographic ships carried out in the region since 2016. In addition, data acquired by foreign scientific vessels were used, highlighting the institutional collaboration in order to allow the HI to publish nautical cartography with more recent and more resolution batimetric data for navigation safety.

With the publication of the 1st edition of CN 62102 (INT 1960) CN 201 is cancelled.
