IH presents at a meeting of the IALA MRA Committee
It took place in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (France), from 25 to 29 May, the second meeting of the International Maritime Signaling Association (IALA) Committee of the AtoN Requirements and Management (ARM). The national representation was ensured by the Hydrographic Institute (HI), associate member, and the Head of Lights, national member. The IH was represented by Lieutenant Captain Sousa Luis.
The purpose of the ARM Committee is to create doctrine within the framework of the definition of user requirements and the management of entities responsible for the maintenance, operation and development of Navigation Aids and Navigation Systems.
Work carried out during the week resulted in working documents, transiting to the next meeting, and final documents, to be sent to other external committees and organisations for consideration and approval.
The third meeting of the ARM Committee is scheduled for the period from 23 to 27 November 2015 in the same city.
