IH participates in the Science Week between Angola and Portugal

The Hydrographic Institute (IH) received on March 18 an Angolan delegation headed by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof. Doctor Domingos da Silva Neto. In this entourage was also present the director of the National Research Institute Pesqueira de Angola (NIP), Dr Filomena Velho.

This event was scheduled under the Science Week between Angola and Portugal, which is taking place between 18 and 20 this month, in the cities of Lisbon, Porto and Bragança.

During the meeting a visit was provided to the divisions of the Technical Directorate of the IH: Navigation, Hydrography, Oceanography, Marine and Chemical Geology and Pollution of the Marine Environment, in order to strengthen and encourage interaction between Angolan and Portuguese researchers, as well as promote cooperation between institutions in the areas of the sciences and technologies of the sea.
