Hydrographic Survey in the Bigio Goal

The Hydrographic Brigade finalized, on January 31, 2022, the Hydrographic Survey in the Golada do Bugio. The survey had 67 hours of navigation and a distance travelled on profiles of 239 km, on board the survey vessel Trinas equipped with a simple beam probe system.

This work is part of the inter-administrative contract signed between the Porto de Lisboa Administration, S.A (APL) and the Hydrographic Institute and aims to obtain updated hydrographic information.

This hydrographic survey is carried out periodically in an area of great complexity due to the elements: meteorological and oceanographic conditions (metoc), river current, tidal current, large depth range, with many port works and short bursts.

The information collected in this campaign will be used for cartographic update.
