Hydrographic Survey in Cacilhas

The Hydrographic Brigade carried out a hydrographic survey on November 26 and 27 in Cacilhas, between the current passenger terminal and Margueira.

This work resulted from the company's request GeoSub – Prospection, Geomatics and Environment, Lda and aimed to verify the batimetric evolution in order to carry out inspection of port structures.

This survey was carried out with a waterboat Simmerhão, equipped with the multi-beam probe system EM2040C, whose ability to acquire high-quality data allows generating high resolution batimetric models, allowing a detailed characterization of the background.

Two hydrographers, an equipment maintenance technician and a boat master participated in this mission.
