Hydrographic Communiqué

The documentation and nautical information made available to the navigators by the Hydrographic Institute (HI) shall be prepared from their work and missions, the water brigades and the elements provided by the maritime authorities.

However, the information provided by the navigators in updating this documentation plays a special role. In fact, only seafarers can verify any anomaly relating to seamarking, new constructions which constitute conspicuous points, particularities of visual landing or radar, variations in depth and even incidents or sighting of marine animals.

In this regard, the Hydrographic Communiqué is the official tool for seafarers to report maritime safety information to the IH that may be useful to other seafarers, or that is divergent from the information contained in the official nautical documents published.

The new format of the Hydrographic Release was published in the form of an online form, accessible through the addresshttps://arcg.is/ifrC4 or their QR Code, browser or mobile app (App Store, Google Play). This update results from scanning the communication process, making it more efficient.
