Head of Romanian Naval Forces visits the Hydrographic Institute
Following the visit of the Romanian Chief of Naval Forces to the Portuguese Navy, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) received yesterday the visit of Vice Admiral Mihai Panaiit, accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Armada, Admiral Gouveia and Melo.
During the visit to the IH, the latest capabilities in maritime technology were presented, highlighting the practical application of remote monitoring systems and state-of-the-art sensors. Vice Admiral Mihai Panait also had the opportunity to visit a static exhibition with the new scientific equipment of the Hydrographic Institute, acquired under the Recovery and Resilience Program.
In the afternoon, the Romanian Chief of Naval Forces visited the NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence (MCEOMETOC COE), the NATO Centre of Excellence which is based at the IH facility.
