Scholarship of the Hydrographic Institute distinguished by scientific publication

On 17 and 18 March, our PhD student Simone Innocentini, guided by Assistant Investigator Rui Quartau, participated in the conference “La Geologia Marina in Italia – Sesto Convegno dei Geologi Marini Italiani” in Rome, Italy.

It is with great pride that we share that Simone received the award for the best scientific publication of 2025.

This article, a result of his research work developed at the Hydrographic Institute, contributes to a better understanding of the current sedimentary processes in volcanic islands.
