Galileo 2018 campaign - 4th announcement

News from the 2018 Galileo Campaign sent by Lieutenant Ventura da Cruz, official of the Hydrographic Institute:

" Comments were made on 26 February Galileo on Deception Island, near the Spanish base “Gabriel de Castilla” as well as on the 27th on King George Island, where there are bases from various countries, airport, post office, gymnastic flags, churches, among others.

On 28 February the ship again headed for the Antarctic Peninsula having the team landed on the O ́Higgins peninsula to make further observations Galileo, a place full of showy icebergs and varied fauna.

The team that landed on Decception Island carried out the hydrographic survey with a simple beam probe near the landing zone of the Spanish base “Gabriel de Castilla”.
