Launch of the first multiparametric buoy
On April 24, the Hydrographic Institute (IH) reports eleven years that, under the MONICAN project, it founded the first multiparametric buoy in national waters, the Nazaré Oceânica buoy.
This date marked the beginning of the establishment of the network of multi-parametric buoys for in-situ observation operated by the IH which already has four multi-parametric buoys: a foundry off Leixões, two in the Nazaré area (one further off and another along the coast) and one off Faro.
This network of multiparametric ocean buoys has made it possible to provide a wide variety of information to the scientific community and the general public from the IH website. www.hydrographic. en .
To mark this ephemeral we share here the video made by the Navy on the occasion of this merger.
