After the 7th Hydrographic Engineering Days and 2nd Luso-Spanish Hydrography Days
Yesterday the 7th Hydrographic Engineering Days and 2nd Luso-Spanish Hydrography Days, organized jointly by the Portuguese Navy Hydrographic Institute (IH) and the Spanish Hydrographic Institute (IHM), took place in the IH, from 21 to 23 this month.
In the 88 works – which are available in a preliminary version of the Book of Minutes of these Days on the respective Internet portal – several ongoing research projects and areas were addressed within the scope of knowledge of the sea.
It is intended that the results of these scientific research works, presented by 271 authors who participated in the Days, contribute to a greater and deeper knowledge of the sea and the potential that this environment holds for Portugal. The sharing of knowledge and experience between experts and stakeholders, belonging to public or private entities, is one of the ways to develop the capacities installed in institutions such as the IH to pursue its mission.
The IH and the IHM therefore welcome the results achieved on these Days and are now launching the challenge for all interested parties to participate in the next edition of the Hydrographic Engineering Days and Luso-Spanish Hydrography Days, which should take place in 2024 at the IHM in Cadiz.
