Exhibition «Maping the Portuguese Sea - Cartography of Discoveries to Currentity»
At the invitation of the Rear Admiral General Director of the Hydrographic Institute, a guided visit to the Exhibition "Mapar o Mar Português - Cartography of Discoveries to the Currentity" was held at the Library of the Hydrographic Institute.
The visit was conducted by our collaborator José Aguiar who, throughout the exhibition, was presenting the evolution of the art of cartography. He presented the 10 historical letters from the collection of the Navy Museum, the technological equipment associated with hydrographic surveys, the evolution of a port (Figueira da Foz) and examples of Portuguese letters from the 19th and 20th centuries of the seven departures of the world that was already Portuguese.
