Visit by the Executive Director of the European Maritime Safety Agency

Executive of the European Maritime Safety Agency, Mr. Markku Mylly visited the Hydrographic Institute (IH) on 10 December 2013, where he was received by the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral António da Silva Ribeiro.

After attending the institutional film on the mission of the Hydrographic Institute, the visitor went through the divisions of the Technical Directorate - Hydrography, Navigation, Oceanography, Technical-Scientific Data Center, Marine Geology and Chemistry and Pollution of the Marine Environment, having exchanged various information on the activity and services provided by the IH in national and international territory, in the framework of intervention by the Navy, in the safety of navigation and in the protection of the marine environment.
