" CONTENTS AND RAPIDITY in the communication of information rather than its form. "
If you're a navigator you should certainly know this phrase.
If you don't remember where, we give you a hand: it is printed on the cover of the Navigators' Warning Groups and summarizes the importance given to the need to bring information on the safety of navigation to the knowledge of the Hydrographic Institute, so that it is disclosed quickly.
The documentation and nautical information relating to the national territory, made available to the navigators by the Hydrographic Institute, is obtained through missions carried out by the Navy's hydrographic ships, the work of the water brigades and elements provided by the National Maritime Authority, in the person of the Captain of Porto.
