Founding of the CS88/1 + BBC documentary films

On board the NRP D. Carlos I left on a mission last August 11, several elements of the IH Oceanography Division, along with a BBC film crew, headed for Nazareth.

The main objective of this mission was to merge the CSA881 buoy located in the Nazaré Cannon zone, which would have been withdrawn for maintenance purposes, usually performed every 6 months.

On board this mission, the Inês Martins Engineer, as the technical manager of the mission, Dr. João Vitorino and the technical maintenance team of the IH Oceanography Division, with 2 divers.

As mentioned earlier, together with the members of the Oceanography Division, a BBC team has also left to film for a documentary. In these filming, the multi-beam survey of the Nazaré Cannon was highlighted, and the surrounding area and wave formation were also filmed in this extremely relevant location.

This mission began last Wednesday, August 11th, at 6:00 a.m., ending the following day, August 12th, around 2:00 p.m.
