Director of RVOMC at University of Hawaii welcomed IBSC

On April 1, the International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartooners (IBSC) was welcomed by the Rear Admiral (ret.) Anita L. Lopez, Director of Marine Center Research Vessel Operations (RVOMC) of the University of Hawaii, institution hosting the 42nd meeting of this group.

In view of this event, as a gesture of gratitude, all elements of the IBSC displayed for the occasion the Hawaiian shirts and the typical local necklaces.

At the end of the day, it was the turn of the Spanish Hydrographic Institute to defend the submission of its Specialization course in Hydrography, presented to renew the recognition with category A. The delegation was constituted by the director of the Hydrographic Institute of La Marina and the head of its Training Department.
