World Day for Tsunamis Conscientialization

Today, November 5, World Day for Conscientialization on Tsunamis is marked. In this context, the Working Group on Research, Monitoring and Early Warning of Tsunamis (GT-IMAT), of the Portuguese Committee for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (COI/UNESCO) - CP-COI, of which the Hydrographic Institute is a member - is promoting the dissemination of the attached leaflet, prepared by the European Urban Risks Centre (CERU), which includes information on what tsunamis are and their risk to Portugal, as well as useful information on early signs and what to do before, during and after such an event.
