Day of the trainee

The Navy makes available to educational and training institutions the possibility for their students to conduct curricular internships, in a real working context, in the field of their courses.

In this context, on March 26, the second edition of the Day of the Trainee was held, where about 50 trainees from various Navy units were present, 10 of them belonging to the Hydrographic Institute.

The program began at the Lisbon Naval Base, where they were able to board ships and see a Navigation Simulator and ended up at the Marine School where they could visit the Marine Museum, experience travel in an amphibian vehicle (LARC) and witness a demonstration by the Cinotechnic team. There was still time for a surprise activity where physical skills, teamwork and trust among the group of interns were tested.
