Submarine Weapons Officer Specialization Course at the Hydrographic Institute
From May 7 to 26, the officers of the 1st edition of the Submarine Weapons Officer Specialization Course attended the “Acoustics and Oceanography II” module at the Hydrographic Institute.
During this phase of the course, the subjects focused mainly on Oceanography, Marine Geology, Underwater Acoustics, Operational SONAR Forecasting, and Environmental Support to Naval Operations (GEOMETOC).
This edition includes two Navy-class officers, both with some operational experience, as they had previously served aboard naval units before beginning their specialization.
This is yet another example of the strong cooperation between Navy units in the technical training of their personnel.
