Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service User and Training Workshop

On 10 and 11 December 2015 the first Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service User and Training Workshop, dedicated to the Iberia, Biscay and Ireland (IBI) area, took place at the Technical Higher Institute (IST).

The event organized by Mercator Ocean in partnership with IST/MARETEC, which intended to disseminate the program and the COPERNICUS services, was attended by twelve technicians from the Hydrographic Institute, covering the Oceanography, Marine Geology, Marine Chemistry, Hydrography and Technical and Scientific Data Center sectors.

The Copernicus programme, implemented by the European Commission in collaboration with the Member States, aims to develop a set of Earth observation-based services through satellite constellations and in-situ observations (http://marine.copernicus. me).
