Cooperation between the Timor-Leste National Defense Institute and the IH

On September 10, Dili, East Timor, signed the cooperation protocol between the National Defense Institute of that country and the Hydrographic Institute.

The document was signed by the directors of the two bodies, and the ceremony was chaired by the Secretary of State for Defense of East Timor, Dr. Júlio Tomás Pinto.
The event was attended by Ambassador of Portugal, Dr. Manuel Goncalves de Jesus and high entities of the ministries of Defense and Security, and Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

The purpose of the Protocol is to develop East Timor's capabilities in the field of marine science and technology related to national defence issues.
