IH conference on historical cartography

It took place at the Auditorium D. João de Castro of the Hydrographic Institute, on 22 May 2014, the conference delivered by Dr. Alfredo Pinheiro Marques, subject to the theme: “The cartography, “science of princes”, to dominate the world (and ocean navigation since the eighteenth century)”.

This conference allowed participants in this event to deepen their knowledge on this theme, with special focus on the history of cartography.
