Conference “The Hydrography in the Safety of Navigation and the Knowledge of the Ocean” - 2021

“The Hydrography in the safety of navigation and knowledge of the ocean” was the theme of the webinar that took place on Friday, March 26. This conference was organized by Cofradía Europea De La Vela, an organization dedicated to studying ocean themes, in particular those affecting sailing.

The webinar was attended by Admiral António Silva Ribeiro, who presented the directors-general of the Spanish and Portuguese Hydrographic Institute: the Capitán de Navío José Daniel González-Aller Lacalle and Rear Admiral Carlos Ventura Soares. Both presented their institutes, highlighting their capabilities in the major projects they are involved in.

To conclude the conference, a question-and-answer session was opened with the intervention of Admiral Giuseppe Angrisano, former director of OHI (1992-2002).
