Conference

The "Ocean Belonging to All" conference was organized by the Lisbon Club under the auspices of "There is no healthy planet without a healthy ocean."

The panel included several entities from various sectors involved in the study and management of the Ocean headed by the Minister of the Sea Dr. Ricardo Cardoso Santos and the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, who was represented by Peter Thomson. Among them, Rear Admiral Ventura Soares was also present, who highlighted the importance of Portugal being an active element in the cooperation effort to protect the oceans.

The conference took place in Lisbon on 22 and 23 February by teleconference, with the support of various organizations including the Blue Ocean Foundation, the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute and the Sustainable Oceans Aliance (SOA).
