Conclusion of the top-hydrographic survey of the Douro waterway

The top-hydrographic survey of the Douro waterway ended on February 28, 2018.

This mission lasted 23 days and consisted of 3 phases: Douro estuary, Crestuma Dam at Carrapatelo and Foz do Tua dam. A total of 12 areas were scanned, which were subjected to dredging or bursting over 127 kilometres. It also had several topographic update works.

It had as a strong challenge the constant mobilization of means and the accentuated aspects of the Douro that limited the capture of satellites and the emission of our reference stations.

On the other hand, it was with great pleasure and pleasure that the team of the Hydrographic Brigade faced this mission, while serving the country in the knowledge of its waterways and enjoying one of the most beautiful and distinct landscapes of Portugal.
