Conclusion of the 3rd Luso-Spanish Hydrography Days

The third Luso-Spanish Hydrography Days came to an end today, October 11th.

The event, which took place this year for the first time in Spain, had 93 presentations, where topics such as: Hydrography, Marine Environment Chemistry, Sea Technologies, Navigation Security, Cartography, Oceanography, Marine Geology, Sea Pollution, Maritime Geospatial Data Infrastructures and Underwater Archaeology. In addition to discussions with the moderators, the participants were also able to witness a demonstration with autonomous surface vehicles.

During the journeys, a reception was also held at the NRP D.Carlos I, which was docked in the Port of Cádiz. The reception was attended by the participants of the Instituto Hydrográfico de la Marina de Spain (IHM), the Instituto Hydrográfico da Marinha Portuguesa (IH), the University of Cadiz and the I-MAR.

Throughout the days, which are already in its third edition, the IH and the IHM held their annual bilateral meeting, thus continuing the collaborations between the two institutes. These two institutions, together with the University of Cadiz and I-MAR, held this great event in order to bring together those involved in maritime scientific work, promoting the sharing of knowledge and debate on the issues related to this area.

The 3rd Luso-Spanish Days of Hydrography took place from October 9 to 11 at the Cadiz Congress Palace.
