Collaboration between Association for the Development and Training of the Azores Sea and Hydrographic Institute
It took place this Thursday, October 17, the signing of a protocol between the Association for the Development and Training of the Azores Sea (ADFMA) and the Hydrographic Institute (IH).
Both entities identify areas of common interest, notably in the field of research, exploration, mapping and monitoring of the ocean and coastal areas, and promote the advancement of scientific knowledge and technological development.
One of the central objectives of the National Strategy for the Sea 2021-2030 is to enhance the contribution of the sea to the country's economy, consolidating Portugal's position on the global scene as a nation with strong maritime tradition and high visibility. Therefore, it is essential to consolidate Portugal as a leader in ocean governance, supported by scientific knowledge. In this sense, the collaboration between ADFMA and IH meets these purposes.
