Celebrations of the Centenary of the South Atlantic Air Cross

On the occasion of the celebrations of the Centennial of the South Atlantic Air Cross, today at the Hydrographic Institute, on 17 February, the one that would be the 153rd anniversary of Admiral Gago Coutinho.

This ceremony, chaired by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armada, Rear Admiral Sousa Costa, was attended by several entities of the Navy, Air Force and City Hall of Lisbon.

The event ended with the descent of a plaque alluding to the Centennial of the South Atlantic Air Cross in the building where Admiral Gago Coutinho resided, and with the deposition of a crown of flowers in the monument in his honor located on Avenida D. Carlos I.
