Hydrographic Cartography in EPortugal

The Hydrographic Institute (HI) regulates the exercise of Hydrographic Cartography (CH) activities by providing technical specifications for cartography production, monitoring production activities, approval of cartographic products and registration of private cartography producing entities.

Any entity engaged in activities in the production of hydrographic cartography may now submit its prior communication to the HI through the ePortugal portal, as provided for in Decree-Law No 130/2019 of 30 August.

ePortugal also allows the cessation of the activity and the consultation of the list of entities that made the prior communication to the HI.

The services associated with hydrographic cartography are already available at the ePortugal portal.
