Hydrographic Brigade continues on mission in the Sines area

The Hydrographic Brigade (BH) has been in Sines since March 8, 2019, conducting a top-hydrographic survey.

Teams dedicated to the areas of hydrography and topography are participating in this mission, with UAM Physalia and Mergulhão speedboats being used, mainly for the use of a multi-beam probe system, and a boat equipped with a simple beam probe system. For the practice of topography, we highlight the use of a motorcycle 4, level and several GNSS receivers.

So far, 90 % of the area of interest has been scanned, 50% of the topographic work of beaches has been carried out and the topography has been completed for cartographic update of the port of Sines.
