Between the Rios, 20 years later.

Twenty years ago a multidisciplinary team from the Hydrographic Institute actively participated in the rescue operation associated with the accident caused by the fall of the Hintze Ribeiro Bridge in Entre-os-Rios.

The team consisted of elements of the Hydrographic Brigade and the Oceanography Division of the Technical Directorate, and several geophysical means of underwater detection were committed.

Hydrodynamic prediction models developed by this Institute were also used during the operation.
