Start of the Specialization Course in Hydrography 2021/22

On September 6, 2021, the Specialization Course for Offices in Hydrography (ENH03), edition of 2021/2022 began, according to the Navy Training Activities Plan (PAFM I 2021). This edition is being attended by six Portuguese Navy officers and two civilians outside the Navy, one of Portuguese nationality and one of dual nationality (Brazilian and Italian).

This course is internationally recognized in accordance with the standards of competence corresponding to Category “A”, established by the FIG-IHO-ICA (FIG-International Geometric Federation, IHO - International Hydrographic Organization and ICA – International Cartographic Association), within the International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers (IBSC).

The patron of this course is King D. Carlos I, sovereign who stood out, among other areas, in the study and knowledge of the sea, having left a marked mark in the history of oceanography in Portugal.

This course will last 49 weeks, expected to end on September 23, 2022.
