Sines ondograph buoy is operational again

After a period of inactivity, Sines's buoyondograph is operational again.

The ondograph buoy of Sines, founded off the port of Sines since 1980, has allowed the characterization of maritime agitation and the surface temperature of sea water in this place. Due to the inadvertent cut of the mooring, the buoy left its position on August 9, and a successful recovery mission was carried out on August 10, resulting from cooperation between the Hydrographic Institute, the Port of Sines Captaincy and the Maritime Police. After a maintenance period, it was re-founded on September 3, using the NRP Admiral Gago Coutinho and with the support of the IH oceanographic engineering team.

Data is already available in real time on the IH page http://www.hydrograph.pt/ondografo. php.
