New code assignment to Zero Hydrographic Portuguese
On a proposal from the Hydrographic Institute, the EPSG code was recently assigned 10349 to ZH Portugal Depth (Vertical CRS).
The Hydrographic Institute recommends the use of this EPSG for all hydrographic data referring to Zero Hydrographic, Continental Portugal and the Azores and Madeira archipelagos.
The use of this code now allows for more useful use in the handling of data, in particular with the correct identification of the vertical reference level to which they are referred, facilitating their classification, conversion and/or transformation between vertical reference systems.
